How could a dove cause so much trouble?  And a peace dove at that.

The dove above stirred up the Christians a long time ago when Wedgewood Baptist, now Wedgewood Church, was a Southern Baptist Church.  Wedgewood’s interim pastor had the audacity to bring the dove into the sanctuary building during the Vietnam War.  You would have thought Jesus had been crucified.  (Maybe he was.)

The peace dove has been on the cross ever since.  It has never left its perch.
